 Very big and bulky to carry to beach...too much sand neededAug 08, 2008

This is a great idea...but it requires a ton of sand to fill up the whole castle and even when I followed the enclosed multiple step directions the whole thing fell apart. After 3 we gave up and never took it to the beach for the rest of the trip!

I almost didn't buy this because of the so so reviews. It does take a lot of sand & a lot of water too. It also takes a while to get your castle constructed. However, if you follow the instructions it comes out great. We had so much fun building with this set. Even dad helped with the construction. Nothing broke on our set. It is easy to clean & ready to go for the next trip to the beach. The instructions are also printed on a laminated paper (water resistant), which is also easy to clean. I would highly recommend this. It is a lot better than building castles with the old beach pail.

This product is alot of fun. As long as the directions are followed, its easy to use and consistent. So far, my 6-year-old son & I have spent several hours building on the beach, and are looking forward to constucting again tomorrow.

Great fun. It kept the kids (and me) busy for hours each day at the beach. Others on the beach wanted to know where we got it.
