This is the best idea. I had a new grandchild and she has taken to this from the beginning. I was told that once she took this pacifier she would not like any other. Hard to believe but it was true. You can get these pacifiers without the stuffed animal, but having it on there makes it easier to hold onto both for child and parents and it is hard to lose if dropped. I have bought several, one with a dog, monkey, and duck. The only drawback is that when the pacifier wears out then unless you can sew really well to replace it, all you can do is cut the paci. off to keep the animal. This is the reason for 4 stars.

I brought this for my 3month old grandbaby. He absolutely loves it! He holds onto it as he is sucking his paci. But, the pacifier that came with it was not what he likes. So, I had to cut it and sew his paci onto it which is a mess. He still loves it though. Baby's are very particular about their pacifiers. They should make this with an attachment thingy.

We received these as a gift - needed another one to swap out for cleaning - after going to several specialty sores we finally found the pony online and at a better price.
One of my guys loved it when he was a few months old and now chews the rim of the pacifier when teething. The other little guy grew to love it. When they were little this was easy for them to use as it balanced the pacifier on their chest, as they got a little older it was easier for them to pick it up and put it in their mouth on their own.
I'll be weaning it from them soon and may have to cut off the pacifier piece to do it - but I'll have a back up one if my plan doesn't work!
