Son loves them, but they are coming apartJun 25, 2008

My 8-month old son really loves the shapes, and he has ever since he got them last Christmas which was six months ago. The pyramid jingles, the ball krinkles, and the cube rattles. He likes the shapes and the sounds. I don't think he cares about images very much. His favorite is the ball. We can always get him to smile by krinkling the ball as we move it back and forth in front of his face. Unfortunately, both the ball and the cube have begun to come apart at the seams. (The pyramid is still intact.) I believe this started about a month or so ago which was only five months after he got them. The ball coming apart is not as bad as the cube because the cube is coming apart between a picture side and the orange side. Therefore, it leaves little pieces of orange in my son's crib. This is disappointing because my son really loves this toy, and now he can only play with the pyramid. Now, we just have to decide if it's worth buying another set so our son can keep playing with them.

Simple, but nice!Sep 28, 2008

I bought these for my daughter when she was 6 months old. She really didn't enjoy them until she (now) became 8 months old. She is just starting to handle the big shapes - they are larger than I thought they'd be! The patterns and textures seem to intrigue her and they all make a different sound when handled. I bought them so I could have some nice toys to throw in her diaper bag for when we are on-the-go. Because they are so large they end up staying at home, but she still enjoys them there. ;-) I also feel these shapes are a nice change from all the plastic toys that are out there.
Just OKFeb 13, 2012
By Aleandra I was so excited to buy these when I saw them online - they looked so great! I mean anything educational for little ones is great, however, the only drawback to these are the size - they are huge. I consider my child normal size - at six months he was 18lbs - so I am surprised that these little handheld toys are really not so little. They are incredibly durable, super cute and fun - however, my son just now can pick them up and he is almost a year. I definitely would recommend waiting until your child is at least 1 year before purchasing these.
Blow your mindApr 13, 2011
By Mari Jo I knew that high-contrast images stimulate little babies and focusing on them helps the brain and eyesight to develop. So I didn't hesitate to grab a set of these mind shapes. I love the jingle in the triangle and the krinkling in the ball. Anything to keep my little one gazing at them above her head.
The cool thing is, she can see and focus on them! In addition to the chimes and sounds, it's helping my baby's learning to progress.

By Mom I bought these for my daughter when she was a newborn. She enjoyed following them with her eyes and focusing on the designs as I slowly moved them for her when she was still on her back. Later she started grasping them with her feet and hands. She loved the crinkling sounds and varied textures. She used them to play catch and other developmental games. When my son came along he enjoyed them as well.
