Fun for older kidsDec 07, 2006
By Mama W My 3 1/2-year-old son received this as an early Christmas present. The music drew him in, but it goes too fast for him to "play" the game. My six-year-old daughter, however, loves it. The rods spin around on the base and the kids have to skip or jump over the poles. Even on the slowest mode, my son still couldn't get the hang of it. He enjoys running in a circle away from the poles, but doesn't understand to stand in one place and jump. And we still haven't figured out how to get more than one child to play and not run into each other or get knocked down. My son's favorite thing about the Super SKipper is the telescoping poles--he uses them as swords and "stabs" us all with them. A fun idea but not for three-year-olds like the box says.

Fun, get-'em-moving toyJan 05, 2007
By C. McGuire I bought this for my 3 and 5-year old and they both love it. Neither one can understand that it's better to just stay in one place and jump over the bar as it comes around, but they don't care. They run around it, over it, jumping and screaming. It's great to see them playing something that is actual exercise. It gets me out of breath after awhile too! I like that it comes with different speed options and the music is not annoying. We brought it to a party and kids from 2 to 9 were all having a great time with, counting who could jump the most times before knocking the bar off. It is best to make the kids go one at a time though, or else there is a lot of bashing into each other. Fun toy.

Super easy to set up and instant fun!Jun 03, 2007
By C. Munn We bought this for our son's 4th birthday. It literally took 2 minutes to set up- just the time it takes you to put in the 4 C batteries! Instant gratification for the kids anxious to try it out! Our 4 yr. old loves trying to jump over the poles. He can only do 1 successful jump in a row right now, but he keeps on trying, laughing the whole time! When he hits the pole, it falls right off, so no tripping over it. Our 6 year old son really loves it and it is still challenging for him because of the different speeds. Overall, great toy to get some energy out of the kids and build coordination as well!

Jumping good timeJun 30, 2008
By Kay Mealins My 5 year old granddaughter and my 18 month old nephew both love this toy. It's great. It took about a day for my granddaughter to master the jumping. It's so easy to pack up and carry with us. Also, its now been dropped, hit against a wall, etc. and its still ticking.

Super Skipper=Super FunJul 20, 2007

""Mom of 5""
I first saw this toy at a neighbor's house. Her 5 and 3 year old enjoyed it. The adults even got a laugh trying to not tap the spinning rod as they jumped over it. So, then I bought it for our cousin for his 4th birthday and found the adults getting a good laugh along with the birthday boy ! I think it is a good active toy and very good for developing physical coordination. The birthday boy's 18 ms old brother even tried it and laughed at the wheh-whah sound it makes when the rod is displaced. It's different and it's fun--kids keep trying to be successful at not displacing the rod.
