This playgym is terrible! Wood is soft pine. I spent an additional $200 in reinforcing lumbar, bolts, etc. Directions are very bad, many missing parts and very hard to assemble. Pre-drilled holes are not in the right places and set is very light so no adults on it. it is VERY unsafe. If you do not reinforce and anchor to ground, the set is a danger to children. The wood is already splitting on my set and it has only been up for one month. Also, will blow over in strong winds - must anchor in ground - concrete is best as we did. The cheap wood floor boards bend so bad under a 25 lb child's weight, I had to reinforce underneath with 2x4's. VERY UNSAFE!
Best bet is to not buy! Can not say enough bad things about this product. Will be writing a letter to CEO of company asking for partial refund. Oh also, my electric trimmer gently touched the wood, and stripped large pieces off of it. Should that happen? I think I should have built the playgym myself out of Lego's. Would have been much sturdier.

Bought this (not at amazon) in 2010. After weeks of searching for a set that would work for both my children ages 3 and 8 at the time of purchase, settled on this set. After reading many reviews I took the time to organize and make sure that everything was included in the shipped boxes. Took chalk and marked each piece of wood with its corresponding letter/number from the directions. Used freezer bags for all the hardware and labled everything. Was missing two bolts (easily acquired at hardware store)...but had many extras of other screws and washers (which is nice because you are bound to drop something in the grass or dirt and not be able to find it). Directions were well written with many pictures. Had almost no problems putting this together. Will agree with other reviewer that extra support under the main floor of the playhouse portion is needed, 2 x 4s work great. Did have to deal with a little warping for the longest piece of wood (where the swings hang) but not so much that we couldn't get it together. Have had absolutely no issues with this, and it has been through a very hard winter in VT (got hammered with snow and wind and hail). The swing set is not anchored with anything other then what it came with (wooden spikes). Have had no issues with it moving at all, just make sure you put it in a level spot first. My kids love it and use it almost daily.
