 The only good kid's watering canMay 04, 2011

I have several kid's watering cans, and they all are almost useless (drizzles water instead of sprinkling, doesn't hold much water, hard to fill, etc.) -- except this one. It might sound silly, but the way this product sprinkles water is great, and kids are simply drawn to it. You can tell that it's designed well, and it is definitely durable. It is an indispensible toy for at the pool, at the beach, and in the sandbox. One word of caution: write your name and phone number on the bottom of it, cuz if you lose it (like I almost did), you will be very disappointed.

I purchased two Spielstabil watering cans for my twin grandchildren.
They love them!
These watering cans are very well made and I know will last for many years to come.

Bought this watering can after my 13 month old was imitating his Daddy by using anything he could find to "water" the plants. This is a great, durable watering can that is the perfect size for a one year old to hold and manipulate. My son tends to dump all the water out at once so we tend to use imaginary water unless we're in the pool. He's 18 months now and still loves his watering can.

I wasn't sure what to think when the watering can arrived in a small box. I was expecting a larger watering can but now that I've had a chance to examine it, I really like the smaller size and the fact that this product is made in Germany. It seems quite sturdy and made from one piece of plastic and I especially like the little blue handle on top in addition to the one on the side. I did not give this 5 stars because it remains to be seen how well this item will stand up to my 2 year old and also there was some residual plastic shavings when I first opened the item. Too bad Green Toys doesn't make a watering can because I may like the quality of that manufacturer's plastic (or recycled milk jugs) better. In any event, I am happy with the purchase.
UPDATE
Having had an opportunity to further use this item, I've upgraded it to 5 stars! It's durable and I like the little blue handle on top so the water doesn't spill out when you just hold it by the side handle. This may be one of my new favorite toy manufacturers!

My son loves this little watering can and we were so happy to see that it was not made in China and instead came from Germany. It is nice to see stuff manufactured in a country other than China. The can is durable and colorful which is just perfect for our little guy who is not easy on anything. Before buying this can I looked in all of the big box and garden stores and could not find anything half as nice or safe as this one. We fully recommend this for those with little people who want to water alongside mom and dad:)
