 Cute folks, very versatile and adaptableNov 24, 2009

I acquired 12 Ryan's Room folks, including these six. My toddlers play with them but I like to use them myself more than they probably enjoy them. They're mostly into lego, block and vehicle play at the moment but I like to mix it up a little with other ideas. I like that these guys have real clothes unlike lego people and most action figures. They're also more posable than lego and duplo people and obviously a little bigger. They fit great on Ertl, and large Tonka toys and they fit well into worlds constructed from unit blocks provided sufficient blocks to bring the scale up. I've been able to construct vehicles for them from Duplo blocks as well though the typical scale of Duplo items is smaller. I also like that these people are not specific merchandise from a movie, tv show or brand like most action figures (gi joe, marvel, star wars etc.)

"Ladybug Landing"
We love this set! My daughter is adopted from Hong Kong and I wanted a set that had Asian-American representation. I love that it is bendable and durable. Great set!

The dolls are great and my daughter is enjoying them but we received different family members from what was advertised online. So I was a bit disappointed since the little girl and grandfather both resembled my daughter and father.

Cute set. Suprised to find that the dolls bend and stand up. The heads also do a 360 degree turn. Pretty sweet especially for the smaller doll houses.

I work at a treatment center for emotionally disturbed children. I was looking for dolls for play therapy. These looked good because they were not character driven (not something seen on TV like iCarly, Barbie, ... ect) and they had basic family members represented. I also liked them because they had multiple sets representing multiple ethnic groups. When I got them I found out that the bodies were small hard blocks of wood. I did not think this would be good for my purpose so I sent all three sets back. I was disappointed but will keep looking...
