Truly UnpredictableAug 04, 2011
By Rei This is a wonderful game for people who don't take themselves too seriously. My friends and I played the Quelf board game, and we had so much fun that I decided to buy the card game version. This may be the most random game you'll ever play. You'll be in laughter the whole time you play.
The card game version is just as fun, and it's so much less expensive than the full board game. The main difference between the board game and the card game is that the board game comes with a board and you move back and forth depending on whether or not you complete the task on the card well. You win when you're the first to reach the finish line. For the card game, you win when you're the first to collect five cards, and you collect a card every time you complete a task. The card game is fantastic because it's portable, and you can take it with you anywhere.
The rules of the games change every time, and it's so easy to pick up on the game.
Basically, if you haven't played the game, the idea is that you pick up a card and you do what the card tells you to. The cards are divided into four categories as follows:
- Showbiz - If you pick up this card, you'll have to act out something, such as singing out an odd, quirky verse four times using a rap, opera, country, and gospel style. - Quizzle - You will have to answer a multiple-choice trivia question accurately. - Stuntz - You'll have to do a stunt, which can range from crawling under the table and not coming out until your next turn or putting a set of keys on your head and not letting it drop until your next turn. - Roolz - You have to follow a rule, which can range from snorting every time you laugh or communicating like Frankenstein (so you can only talk in grunts and groans).
Each card has three different task, and the task that you do depends on which number you choose (from 1-3) before picking up the card.
I'm only glazing over the surface of what this game is about! You will not regret this purchase. This is my favorite game ever. You have to play it to see how fun it is, and the rules of the game are super easy.
Not to mention, this game is such a good value because it has so much replayability, and it's different depending on who you're playing with because it incorporates so much of people's personality.

what fun!!!Jun 30, 2011
By palominopup I bought this game on a whim and played it for the first time at our family Christmas get together. With 18 of us, it was a crazy time. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. The next time was at my New Year's Eve party. Our church's youth group leader was there and she was so impressed because it was just as fun for the 13 year old as it was to the 50 year old. She bought it for the youth group and they play it on a regular basis. You may only get a deck of cards, but it's the people that make the cards totally different each time. You'll get years of enjoyment. If you don't like slapstick comedy, you won't like this game.
I don't think it would be as fun for a small group - say five or below. And for a group of 24 or more, it gets very hard to follow.
Silly Fun for youth.Feb 03, 2012
By mom of 4 sons Quelf cards is an interactive game that is especially fun in a large group setting. It is less complicated than the Quelf board game, which we've also played. Players draw a card and must do what it says in order to keep the card. The first player to keep 5 cards wins. Cards may instruct a player to do anything from shouting a funny phrase at the end of each players turn to imitating an ice skater, sitting in a certain awkward position or give himself a wedgy! Youth ages 8-18 seem to especially enjoy this game! It is fun for several games before the limited number of cards get routine and not as funny anymore. It changes a little with each new group you play it with and is a good ice breaker.

By hmmm I think it's overpriced for a deck of cards. I purchased it because the rating was so much higher than the board game and I was wrong.
