Fascinating little carSep 17, 2007
By mars man I have a 3 yr old, and he loves. The steering is realistic, there is a mock stereo and a horn that you can honk. When I bought the car, he couldn't drive: now he can go forward and backward and steer and actually pull into a parking spot beside actual cars.
The only complaint: the back wheels spin occasionally if there is one occupant: when this happens, an adult has to go in and hold the rear of the car down to help the car regain traction... I guess if the manufacturer made the rear of the car heavier, this problem wouldn't exist. But, overall for $200, I am very happy and my son loves it!

Thrilled!Sep 19, 2007
By Mother of Two My older daughter received this as a gift for her second birthday (Jan 2007) and by the summer had mastered steering and the gears. My younger daughter, one year old, also loves to go along for the ride. She sits in the passenger seat and gets to control the radio! I love that it's an adjustable two-seater with seatbelts. They both love riding in it and I feel it's safe and durable. We have big rocks/boulders around the edge of our yard to keep cars off our property and when she was first learning to drive would occassionally crash into them. At most the car got a scratch or two and she was fine. We actually plan on purchasing another one for the baby next summer so they can ride together! I would highly recommend this toy for hours of fun!

Stranded in New OrleansAug 09, 2007
By T. MCILWAIN We bought this car for my daughter and she rode in it 4 times before it left her stranded on the side of the road! The gears stripped in one of the wheels and it had to be towed home by daddy. She's under 40lbs, so rule out any thoughts that she may be too heavy for it. It is a really cute car with realistic details and she loves the "red" convertable look of it. Unfortunately it's back to the store in less than a week, not durable enough for the high cost. We are very disappointed.

My daughter loves this carDec 26, 2007
By Mother of Two My husband and I bought this as a christmas gift for our three year old daughter. It was very easy to assemble, and there aren't too many stickers. The look is pretty authentic and my daughter is quickly figuring out the steering. Our only complaint is the rear wheels spin a bit with her as the lone occupant. This was mentioned by another reviewer. But it is still an awesome toy, and I'd buy it all over again.

BUILDING A CAR FROM SCRATCH! I PASSED OUT!!!May 30, 2008
By John S. Ellis I couldn't wait to give this to my son for his 4th birthday. However, when I realized that I had to put it together, the sweat started to drip from my brow and I got tunnelvision like in the movies.
I hate putting things together and you can see it from the Spice Rack that can't hold a jar or the toilet that leads people to slide foward when sitting on it. It's not in my genes and I'm kept away from projects from my wife...she'll do them because she has patience or my 7 year old daughter or hire someone.
It took a couple days, especially having to do it in the garage while my son was away. The instructions were awesome and I actually did it all by myself. Give me a special clap and a gentle "aah!"
My son's eyes bulged out when he finally saw his present. He is all about cars and now he parks it in the garage and I'm relegated to parking outside, because "now we have three cars." He straps the "Speed Racer" helmet he got and he's ready to go. He even drives to the end of the driveway to pick up the paper.
He loves it and Fisher-Price made an awesome car. So, I'm ready for the challenge to put together your car if you buy it!!!!
