There were a few reviews pretty negative so I was a little leary about the Queens Annes Revenge BUT it turned into a wonderful gift! We used super glue to cement the pieces together and it works great. Of course, you cant be throwing it around or dropping it but if a 5 year old and a 8 year old can play pirates without it falling apart then its a job well done! I would recommend for that age group. But make sure you super glue it when you put it together. Thanks!

My kids have played with this nonstop for the week that we have had it. It has great detail and many fun pieces to play with. We will see the new pirates movie soon and they will get even more play tme with this awesome ship and figures!

This thing looks amazing on the box but there is where the fun stops. This is not a toy to be played with. You could either put it together and set it on a shelf or get out the super glue. I see high reviews where the people stated that they had to glue it together. Are you guys idiots? It is not ok for a company to design a toy that cost over $60.00 that needs glued together in order for your kids to enjoy playing with it. Is this what our society has come to? Allow big companies to push sub-par products off on us and we except responsibility for their shortcomings. Like the grandmother above stated, if you look at this thing wrong the masts come tumbling down. The little doors that hide the cannon (mind you the ship cost over $60 and they only give you 1) keep falling off. I can't take the ship back because my son wanted it so bad but, I can't stand the fact he's coming up to me every 30 sec asking daddy to put this or that back together.

it's really a nice toy, an amazing pirate boat. My 5 year old boy loved it! But, it's also not so durable. The pieces usually don't assamble as they should!

I bought this because I already had 5 Pirates of the Caribbean action figures, and no place to play with them except my desktop. Now they can sail around the house. The pieces do come apart, but I consider this an advantage. If anybody attacks the ship then it is no fun if it cannot be disassembled. Some of the pieces (e.g. the skeleton and the rigging) can be a little hard to reasemble, so I would not recomend this to a child under 8 years old. As long as you do not touch the rigging or the skeleton, and assemble it properly, you should not have very much trouble with it falling apart. The deck opens to where the cannons are. (Note it only comes with 1 cannon, but room for 3 on the bottom and 2 on top.) The ship comes with 2 storage areas. One of these storage areas is located below deck, and cannot be opened unless the top deck is almost all the way off. The other storage compartment (which we didn't find untill several months later) is very hard to open and I usually ask my sister for help. It comes with a stand for a ship in a bottle. I wish I had another one because 2 of my figures came with ships in bottles. You can change course by turning the sails and flag. But the feature that I probably use most often is the rope feature. You can tie and hang your figures with the ship's rope. Just like in the movie! There is a gang plank that comes out of the side of the ship (another feature that I did not discover until later). Over all it is a fun toy that I would recomend to any Pirates of the Caribbean fan that is 8 years or older.
