Three years ago I ordered this same bear from the same company (Yottoy) and I am a little disappointed with the changes they have made. With my parents from England and my English heritage, I always take pride in giving this gift at a baby shower because I know there will be no others like it there. 3 years ago the bear came with the signature Paddington red boots and now I can't find a bear with the boots. I had to order the boots separately from England and hope that I get them in time. The bear seems to be made a lot cheaper, the jacket is a cheaper version and I hate that it says made in china on the tag (I may even take the tag off when giving it). The bear itself is very cute and the size is exactly what I wanted, it is the clothes that are not what I expected especially when I have bought this same bear twice before. The handle on the suitcase is a very cheap "silver" and looks tarnished and I am going to try to see if I can shine it up a little. Overall, if you have never ordered this bear before you will enjoy it however if you have ordered it before you will be disappointed with the quality and cheapness they have put into this classic toy. When will we be able to get our good quality toys back that are not made it china?? I would be willing to spend the extra money for better quality.

Decades ago, I grew up reading the Paddington Bear books. A couple months back, I bought this toy for my granddaughter's fifth birthday. The way her eyes lit up when she opened the package was touching, and having seen her recently, I can say she is just excited about Paddington as she was back then. I only wish they made toys like this when I was her age. The detail inside the suitcase with the marmalade jars and scrapbook is fantastic. Highly recommended.

I bought a paddington for my daughter when she was born in 1979 and still has it. She wanted one for her first child which is coming soon, so I got this one for her. She absolutely loves it and wants one for each child she has to make this a family tradition.

I was first hesitant to buy the bear as pictured. It didn't quite remind me of the Paddington Bear I grew up with. After doing a lot of searching though, I found this was my best option, and bought, knowing Amazon's return policy would cover it if I hated the bear.
I just opened the box today and was completely surprised. It looks just like the bear of my memories and is much larger than the picture implies. Oddly enough, I bought this gift as a birthday present for my husband. He had one as a child and his mother got rid of it when he moved out. He was devastated. This will be absolutely perfect for him and I would highly recommend it for any Paddington Bear fan.

I got this classic toy for a baby shower. It never fails to deliver. Paddington Bear is a staple and if youre looking for a gift for anyone 5 and under you absolutely cannot go wrong with this. I'm a little bummed he didnt have his boots... and I wouldnt let a small child actually play with him, but still this was exactly what I was looking for.
