Not sure what I expected...but I guess it was more than I got!Apr 05, 2007

What I expected was a cool blue-light product that made charging my DS simple and fun! What I got was a cool blue-light product that actually proved to be more of a pain for charging the DS and ultimately ended up tossed in a drawer.
While it might be fun to show this off to your friends when they come visit, actually using it is not fun at all. First off, you have to either a) leave it plugged in (you have to use your DS charger for this) so that it is ready to charge your DS on cue; which ultimately leaves the light ON <--this is a pain, as I truly thought the thing would only LIGHT when being used for charging!?
or b) plug it in when you are ready to charge your DS, which, basically is adding an additional step to the charging process, making it NOT fun at all. And as I already mentioned, while plugged in, the light is always ON!? When your DS is fully (and finished being) charged...the light is STILL on!! Making it difficult to tell when it's finished charging. Let me just say... UGH!
In my opinion : cool concept, bad finished product

It charges, but it's not easy to use.May 08, 2007

The unearthly blue glow that emits from this cradle is annoying (to say the least). I didn't realize that it lit up when I bought this cradle. I don't think I would have bought it if I had known. It glows whether the DS is charging or not. It glows even after the DS is charged. It's just a freakin' annoying blue glowing thing.
It DOES charge the DS, but it's very difficult to put the DS into the charger and just as difficult to take it out. It's a two handed process. If I have to use two hands to charge my DS, I might as well just plug it in.
It was only ten bucks, but even so, I feel ripped off...

A Little Blue Light and That's ItNov 29, 2007
By J. Wolfson I lost my original DS Lite charger and bought this thinking it was a charger. It is not. It requires a DS Lite charger to function. If you already have one, this product offers a blue light and the option to have your DS Lite in a somewhat vertical orientation.
If that's what you want I suppose this should be a five star review, but to me it seems amazingly wasteful and pointless.

Nice Dock, but no power cord.Dec 06, 2007

We were unpleasently surprized to find that this dock does not include the power cord, particularly since we purchased it to replace a lost AC cord.
Luckily we have since found the cord and can use the dock, but the description should more explicitly state that your exisiting power cord is required to use this dock.

WORKS GREAT!!!Jul 15, 2007

Some reviewers complained about the blue light it emits. Well, it is a "GLOW Dock." It puts out a good amount of light but not enough to keep my daughter awake. The only drawback is having to use two hands to dock the game. With practice, you can actually use one hand to undock it (pushing the button with one finger and grabbing it with the rest of the hand). Some reviewers wanted the blue glow to stop when the unit is fully charged. Again, it is a "GLOW Dock" and the way you have to position it to charge the game system, you can see by the lights on the Nintendo game whether it is still charging or not.
I think it has gotten a bad rap. It will glow a blue glow all the time. Not that noticeable during the day and not enough at night that it would keep my four-year old up. I like the unit. It fastens the Nintendo game system securely on top of a table or desk so it is less likely to get knocked off if it was just plugged into a power cord. As for the two-handed plug into the base, if you're just using just a power cord it takes two hands too. Again, with practice, it is eventually just as fast plugging it in.
I recommend this product.
