My two year old loved it!Nov 15, 2008
By E. B. Glass We took My First Brain Quest on a recent plane trip with my 25 month old daughter. This turned out to be the perfect activity for us to do together. It kept us busy for a good portion of the trip. She liked flipping through the cards, pointing out objects she recognized, and asking questions about things that were unfamiliar. I know there were quite a few words and concepts she heard for the first time via Brain Quest and used later that week. I am so glad we brought it. It was the smallest item we brought on the plane (fits great in a travel bag!) but it's more interactive than any other book or toy we had with us, therefore it entertained us and kept us occupied for a much longer amount of time. Thumbs up from mom and 2 year old!

Fun for little guy and mommyAug 08, 2010
By T. Whittington My son grabs the little Max pointer and off we go.The topics are clear. You can ask your child the suggested questions or embelish with ones of your own. Great story building tool. Great bonding time for us.

Great time together!Mar 04, 2011
By mathmommy My two year old loves playing with Max the Monkey, and she asks to work on Brain Quest several times a day. I love it because it introduces her to language, enhances her communication skills, and opens the door to further discussion. And best of all, we get some cuddle time together.

By Mom of two girls I like the idea behind this brain quest, but the questions are too easy for a three year old. A young two year old will benefit from this however.

Not very impressedOct 06, 2010
By New Mom I purchased this for my 2 1/2 year old son. While the included non-toxic toy monkey is cute, I just don't see the point. My son is capable (and prefers to) point with his own finger.
The contents of the cards are very simplistic and cover many things he already knows. You could accomplish the same goals by asking your child questions while looking at any picture book.
I find it incredibly awkward moving from one card to the other and wish the company had spent 2 cents more on the plastic tabs to make them longer; the cards are stacked together way too tightly.
I also purchased two other Brain Quest sets, so will see if those are any better. In the meantime, please note that you are only supposed to use one side of each card as you go through the deck, then flip it over and work through the backs. This is NOT mentioned in the Parents Guide.
