Cute, it has so far alleviated the "I want to help you" using my broom. So for the money it works real well. I can get the sweeping done alot easier now. It is built rather well - slightly on the heavier side and it is approx 3 ft tall. My 4 year old has no problems with it at all. The 2 year old suprisingly did just fine with it also.

We gave this and the Melissa & Doug Happy Giddy Broomto two toddlers, ages 14 months & 2 years, and the children didn't want to even look at their other presents. They were off & running, sweeping like mad. It was a big improvement in safety over their previous attempts to sweep with a full-sized broom, let me tell you! And the brooms are VERY cute.

I got this so my 4-year-old would help sweep the floor. The broom has very stiff, plastic bristles. A good broom should have softer, more flexible bristles otherwise it doesn't grab the junk on the floor well. So my daughter's "helping" wasn't very productive. Also, the lady bug is made of plastic and hollow inside (if it go stepped on it would shatter). So a bit flimsy. There are cheaper small brooms at Toys R Us. This one was a bit pricey for what it gives you; with Melissa & Doug I thought I would be paying for a higher quality product, but not so much. But it's still a great size and cute.

It's very colorful and surprisingly well made. Shaped like a bug and easy to use for children. The kids will enjoy using it.
