 Write an online review and share your thoughts with other customers.  Great for small handsAug 16, 2010My son really likes puzzles (21 months) and we've tried a few that didn't quite work. Either the pieces were made cheaply or were too small (thin) that he couldn't hold onto them. Why he LOVES this one The wooden construction is sturdy and the pieces are taller than the puzzle board so he can grab them and put them in withe ease. Why WE love it Study, it's wooden blocks so i know he's not going to peel off the photo or rip up the pieces Educational - as we put each piece in, we say what the vehicle is or make noises. He's learning his words and this gets his excited to say "ba" (for bus) and "choo choo" (for train). It keeps him entertained and engaged to keep learning. We're moving into colors. After this positive experience, we went back out to the store and grabbed a few more. The Farm one is HILARIOUS as I'm trying to teach him the sounds that animals makes...  Not even close to what you used to getMar 05, 2010Although Amazon shipped this much quicker than I expected, it is not what was pictured nor what Melissa & Doug used to sale. I have a number of Melissa & Doug puzzles that are painted on ALL sides. The older puzzles are made of real wood and feel much nicer than this pressed board crap. They are also cut to the image where the newer puzzles are mere outlines, haphazardly thrown together. I would have promptly returned this puzzle, but my 19 month old son really loves puzzles and saw this and the other 2 puzzles as they were coming out of the box. I cannot believe that these cost the same amount or more than the other puzzles we own, yet they are of such an inferior quality that I cannot believe the are trying to pawn it off as the same thing they used to sale. Shame on you Melissa & Doug. What a smile!Jan 30, 2010The way my son's face lit up when he saw this puzzle for the first time; wow, I knew I had found a winner! He still has a good deal of fun with it even a month after Christmas. The chunky pieces are easy to hold and pick up and a little challenging to lose! In the future, I'd like to pick up some more of these puzzles.  Cute but don't let baby chew on the pieces!Sep 12, 2009Cute and educational puzzle my son enjoys playing with, but the edges of the pieces are peeling off already (after two months) because he has chewed on them a couple of times. Not durable in terms of aesthetics, but still solid and usable. My son isn't into it too much yet, but he's getting there.
