I have to say that I had no idea how hard it would be to FIND colored chalk at a store so I turned to Amazon of course. Then I was astounded at the array of choices and many reviews of different chalk products. Finally i went with Melissa and Doug. I have to say that I was a little nervous since some reviewers seem to think this chalk is so crappy. BUT, I'm happy to say, it's fine! the colors are beautiful and yes some of the chalk has broken but I'm not sure what kinds of chalk people are using that never snaps in half. I'm happy with my Melissa and Doug chalk.

You really can't complain when you get a deal. Just some hints though...I liked that the felt eraser would work on both parts of my son's easel...but not really. Well, It will get around 80 percent as long as you use your "elbow grease". The chalk arrived broken into little itty bitty pieces. Fortunately, my son is still very young, so we made due. Chalk breaks. It happens. Not really a big deal. Aside from those previous things, my son likes it so I like it :)

I was searching for chalk that was not messy for my kids chalk board that they have at home and this chalk is as advertised. I asked my 8yr old daughter if she likes it and she says yes. The chalk rights fine on the board and erases with no problem. My 3yr old son uses this and his hands aren't that messy afterwards.

Bought this product to use on a chalk board me my children created in the kitchen using chalk board paint. The chalk is thick enough for my kids to use without breaking and the eraser fits perfectly in the frame we put around the our chalk board area.

My daughter loves this and likes to draw pictures in her room on a chalk board I also bought from amazon. I would recommend this product.
