excellent for helping toddlers develop speechNov 02, 2009
By S. Rall We love the Magic Mic (the regular one, not the Jr, I agree the Jr is useless). It is an extremely simple toy, just has a spring in an echo chamber that makes any noise you make sound a little echo-y. My autistic son's speech teacher is the one who introduced me to it. He would not say a thing for her, but he loved to make noises into the microphone. I have used it with all 3 of my other children as well. It is also great for car trips, as it entertains the kids without being annoying. We've owned dozens over the years. Although it is quite sturdy, it doesn't survive being stepped on by an adult (when hidden under a coat on the floor, for example). We've also given them as favors at 2 or 3 year old birthday parties.
The mic has a plastic "antenna" that sticks out the hole in the bottom. Within a day of owning it, all my children have shoved the thing up into the body of the microphone, never to be seen again. Does not affect the function of the toy at all. One of my toddlers liked to chew on it before it got lost.

By Jessica N. Deshetler Great toy for my 20 month old but when her uncle saw it he wanted one. The shipping price was a but steep (more then the toy itself) but all stores sold out.

Don't waste your money on the Magic Mic Jr. Get the regular size as that one is great. The Jr doesn't have the holes around the top of the mike so there is no echo whatsover. The regular Magic Mic is great, your voice really echos and my grandson loves it, I even have fun singing into it, that's why I bought 4 of the Jr thinking it was the same only a little smaller, WRONG!!! I couldn't figure out why there was no echo until I compared them and noticed the openings around the top were not on the Jr, making it useless and not much fun. The picture shown is the regular Mic, not the Jr.

Fun Mic for cheapMar 04, 2012
By talmom Good microphone. It echos alright but not real loud. I found the translucent one to echo better than the solid color mic. Fun for kids to talk or sing into.
