AMAZING quality, GREAT product - WONDERFULNov 16, 2011
By R Taylor This is an all-around great product. We got it this summer for our 2.5 year old son. We use the handle on the back and can push him around when we go for walks...instead of pushing him in the stroller. It's very sturdy and safe - and it was highly recommended from a friend - and it's worth it. It's not going to tip over, it's not all wiggly, it's not crappy plastic like so many others. It's completely adjustable for short kids and then as they grow.
Really a great product - I look forward to next summer when he can peddle it on his own. We will be getting MANY MANY safe years of play out of this trike.

If you have multiple kids this is DEFINITELY the one to go with.May 05, 2012

My son received this for his second birthday from us. He couldn't yet steer or peddle but no matter, I had a push bar and steered for him. He put on his seatbelt and helmet and was thrilled to "ride" his bike instead of begging to get out of a stroller. At three he could now steer pretty well and peddle to beat the band. We bought the tandem seat (and a seatbelt for it) and put our daughter (then 18mos.) on the back (with helmet). Still had the push bar to manage across roads, etc. My son was delighted to take his little sister for rides, he got REALLY strong, and I didn't have to push a stroller AND manage a trike! Two years of that until my daughter got REALLY tired of being second fiddle and my son's knees were in his ears (they are TALL kids), he graduated to a "big boy bike" but still preferred tearing around on the trike, my daughter rode the trike until she was 5 when her knees were hitting her ears and she graduated. Into storage it all went for 2 years then my best friend had twin boys who were ready for trikes. Out it came for their 2nd birthday (along with new helmets ;-) and the Kettler still looks nearly new. In full disclosure she also received a Schwinn easy ride and she prefers it as she says it is far easier to steer (steering can be tricky on this one for the adult involved, I learned how to manage it but I'm a lot stronger than she is, and 6" taller). HOWEVER, every person I know who has a Kettler trike has had it last through multiple kids without an issue. Most people I know didn't want to shell out for this (really) expensive option (I did because of the tandem feature I knew I would need down the line), they have all gone through multiple trikes - some have had to buy several trikes PER KID. I think in the end I actually paid less, including with extra seatbelt and tandem attachment and never had any trouble. The trike also fit my kids a lot longer because of the adjustable frame. My kids would have outgrown most trikes a lot sooner.

By L. Hoyt This is a real tricycle, very well made with adjustments to grow along with the child. Definitely worth the price.
