Kettlet SwingApr 24, 2008

I like the security of the swing when my child is sitting in it, but I think it is very hard to get him in and out of. The saftey lock at the base of the slid bar is very hard to use, but other then that I like the product.

Good seat, but annoying retention barDec 05, 2008
By Systems_Consultant I bought this seat for a 2 year old who just loves it. It's secure due to the seat belt and yellow plastic retention bar and doesn't tip fore and aft due to the 4 point suspension ropes.
The seat is constructed of what looks like blow-molded polyethelene or polypropylene and is both light weight and strong. I think it's rated for 65 lbs.
The only thing that makes me say "what were they thinking?" is the yellow plastic retention bar. To put the kid in the seat, you must slide the bar up on the front pair of ropes in order to seat the kid. The problem is that there is no mechanism to hold the bar in the raised position other than a minimum of friction from the ropes that it slides on. The result is that you need three hands (or two hands and your head) to simultaneously place the kid in the seat without the pointed end of the yellow retention bar sliding down the rope and hitting him or her on the head. While the bar isn't heavy enough to do any serious damage, (unless perhaps if the kid looked up and caught the blunt pin in the eye), it could lead to an unpleasant swinging session. If it didn't have this problem I'd give it 5 stars.

Excellent Infant/Toddler Swing!Nov 16, 2010
By HeatherB in TX I used this swing for my daughter for nearly 3 years! We have the Kettler swing set. You will not be able to open the safety one handed, but there is nothing wrong with that! I never had any issues removing my daughter from the swing. I always felt like she was in there safely and loved the fact that I was able to switch this out with a big girl Kettler swing.

Great!Jun 09, 2009
By JLP Our 2 1/2 year old (who is tall) is using it right now and it's a great size for her. I can see her using it up to 4 years if need be. I would recommend this swing for ages 1 to 4 yrs old. It is very secure and has a strap for younger kids.

Really make our swing set a lot more fun. And much more secure than the buckets seats that are so dangerous!
