I wish I had better researched this book, Jungly Tails Plush Book by Jellycat. It is a well made item and appears to be of good quality, however, I did not realize that it contains a battery (the products states the non-replaceable battery should last up to six months depending on usage). I would not buy this item again because of the battery and am considering returning it.

We're hooked, and so is our son! :) These books by Anne Wilkinson for Jelly Cat / Jelly Kitten are all wonderful. Other books we own and are very pleased with include: My Frog Book, JellyCat My Dog Book and Funny Feet Book.

I have purchased many of the books as baby gifts. they are brightly colored, easy to hold and have little surprise pages to interest little minds. Some of the pages are crinkly, and fun to teethe on. See other products by Jellycat a great line of soft toys for children. Buy this book babies will love it!!!

The book is colorful and the tails are fun, however my 8 months old baby is not very interested in playing with it. I am sure it has nothing to do with the product itself. The battery was dead when I received the item, I don't know how much difference that would have made.
Update : a couple of weeks later, baby loves chewing on the tails

My son loves this book. All of the pages are crinkly, and the tails allow him an easy hold on the book. He plays with it every time I put it in front of him. The front cover has a little sound button, too, which when pressed makes a roaring sound. I wish the roar was louder, though, because it can barely be heard over the crinkling. The book is perfect sized, has bright, simple drawings, and is lightweight
