Exactly what we were looking for!Jan 02, 2011
By K. Graves We were looking for a building set like Kinex or Lincoln Logs that our toddler could play with on his own. These definately remove the frustration of accidentally knocking over your own creation that comes with traditional blocks. So far, the toy's durability seems good and the magnets inside are strong enough to hold several pieces, but easy enough to pull apart. Our son is at the point where destroying buildings is more fun than making them but in the future, I think he'll really enjoy playing with these.

Magneatos are "neato" for toddlers and grade schoolersJul 12, 2011

I bought the Magneato Jumbos because my 18-month-old grandson has so much fun with the big magnets on our fridge. When the Magneatos came, he dived right in and started playing. They fascinated him for the entire afternoon (off and on), and were equally fun for his 7-year-old sister. Although you need to be aware that this set contains only 24 pieces, rather than the large number shown in the photo, there are plenty in this set to keep little ones busy. Both kids enjoyed sticking them together and pulling them apart (and my grandson wanted to throw the balls as far as he could), and the 7-year-old wanted to make a long chain, or a fake microphone, or see how the opposite polarity pushed pieces apart. I couldn't see anything about this jumbo set that would be unsafe for a baby my grandson's age (18 months). I highly recommend this set of Magneatos for just about any age, from one through grade school.

They are magnets...and plastic.May 08, 2012

My two year old likes them. Easy to hold, a good size and bright colors. I gave these four stars and not five because the magnets don't have a strong attraction to each other and come apart easily.
not greatFeb 14, 2012
By F. Edmunds My daughter first saw these in a toy store with she was around 10 months and really seemed to like them so I bought them for her about 8 months later for Christmas. She tried to play with them for about 30 seconds at a time a few times but since they don't stay together very well, she quickly got bored and moved to something else. She's now 21 months and still doesn't like them.
