Without getting into all the convoluted details... I have 7 young children for which to buy gifts. I bought Learn To Dress Squeak E. Mouse originally for one child and decided to give it to my neice. She's a twin so I sought a similar toy for her brother and found a Dress Me Pirate. The pirate was so perfect for him (I thought! - turns out it was just as disappointing as Abby) I began my search anew for one my Very Girly neice would love. And here we are.
In Short:
-BUY Squeak E. Mouse. His clothes and shoes actually work. Construction is MUCH superior.
-don't buy Abby or the Learn to dress Pirate - fabrics are flimsy and none of the clothes actually come off seriously diminishing the fun factor and decimating the learning factor. Yes it has a short zipper, a velcro tab, ribbon laced shoe, tight button pocket... but they're really nothing more than another doll.

My daughter loves thi toy. I couldn't find vy much of a selection locally in stores, but it made her birthday so special.

My daughter is 8 months and was sooooo exited when we unpacked her Abby. Seems to be durable and easy to handle for her. Made my baby happy.

MY BABY GIRL LOVES ABBY. BUT ABBY TOYS ARENT EASY TO FIND IN STORES. I WAS HAPPY TO FIND IT ON AMAZON MUCH CHEAPER THAN ANY WHERE ELSE. THE DOLL DOEST TALK BUT SHE LOVES HAVING HER. ABBY IS VERY PRETTY AND LOOKS TO BE WELL MADE. MY BABY PUSHES ABBY IN A TOY STROLLER ALL DAY. GOOD BUY!
