The Elmo guitar is cute, attractive, and motivates creativity. If the noise becomes a nuisance, you can put the guitar away and bring it out for family "shows." Toddlers love it.

Don't buy!! Looking at the Elmo Guitar and reading the description I thought this would be a great toy for my twin 2 yr. old grandsons. When we received it, I tested it through the instructions to "Test Me". Elmo seemed to work! I was so excited to get it. However, when they boys tried playing the guitar, the sounds of the music seemed to be very muddled and draggy sounding. I thought maybe the batteries were getting low since it could have been playing during shipping if the UPS man decided to throw it on the truck. We added new batteries, but it didn't make a difference. Amazon was great about returning the guitar for another one. Well, the 2nd one arrived and does the same thing. I'm sure it's a product flaw and not the fault of Amazon. BTW, see those little silver knobs to turn the volume up? They are made of plastic. Overall, think twice before you purchase this unless you want to send it back for another or your money back.

This is a really cute guitar and I am sure my daughter is going to love it. The one thing I do not like about it is that there is no off button. I was wrapping it for Christmas and everytime I move it Elmo plays or sings something..lol...other than that I like it.

It has been durable and the right size for his hands.

I got this for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday and she loved it! Of course she loves Elmo, but seemed to love the guitar. I would recommend this toy.
