Lots of fun, and very durableNov 14, 2007
By James Huff We bought this pirate ship in October 2007, and haven't had any of the problems with it coming apart that some earlier reviewers mentioned. (Perhaps the 2007 version is improved?) We're actually very happy with this toy--it is very well designed, with just the right balance between functionality and durability. There are lots of things to do (raise/lower the sails, the anchor, fire the canons three different ways, etc.), and everything works well and holds up to the normal amount of abuse that a four-year-old and his 2-year-old brother can dish out. One of our kids' favorite toys, and one of ours as well.

My son loves this ship!Oct 20, 2007
By K. Hansen My 4 year old got this for his birthday. He hasn't been one to play with toys much. He prefers video games, so to keep those kind of things to a minimum, I am looking for toys to keep his interest. He has played with this nearly every day for a month, and still seems excited about it. He likes the cannons that really shoot, the sails that open and close and the figures. His older siblings enjoy playing with him too. It encourages open ended play and imagination which is great!

My daughter loves it!Oct 26, 2007
By Rebecca Burke My 3 year old daughter really loves pirates (think Wiggle's Captain Feathersword). When she got this for her 3rd birthday, I was not happy - she was supposed to be getting the Little Tykes version. She absolutly loves it, as does my 5 year old son, and our 40ish year old neighbors and their teenage girls! The only downside is there are lots of small accessories that can easily be lost. Other than that, this is really neat!

Glue Would HelpOct 14, 2007

I bought this for my son's 4th birthday this year. While he really enjoys playing with it, he get frustrated that it falls apart VERY easily. My husband finally glued the hull of the ship together (leaving everything else to be able to pull apart) and that did the trick. This is a good step up from the Little People pirate ship.
