Great color. It's nice to have a colored pencil and watercolor capability all in one product. Enabling the artist to do detailed and free flowing work a lot easier without the need to have a ton of supplies around. The little grippers on the sides of the pencils make for easy holding and keep it from slipping out of your hands. Love the fact that these are also environmentally friendly which is why I decided to try these over my usual brand and I don't regret it. I'd highly recommend these to anyone.

The pencils were used for a project at school by 300 students. They work very well: the colors transfer easily, they don't break often, and when you sparsely apply the water, it becomes a beautiful watercolor work of art. The children (ages 5-11) thoroughly enjoyed them. Another plus is that they come from renewable forest sources. They are definitely an excellent value for the price.

I use these for an atypical purpose: face painting! I had a MUCH more expensive set of watercolor pencils that I used for face painting (for 7 years) up until I purchased these a few months ago. These are INFINITELY better and 1/3 the price! I paint my childcare kids' and other children's faces with these and they are sooo comfy, don't roll away from me (thank you, triangular shape), write effortlessly and painlessly, and have bright colors. An awesome bonus: they're eco-friendly! They work well for art, too, and my kids enjoy them on paper or on my face. Who am I to sqaush their creativity?! Buy this set if you need watercolor pencils...you'll love them as much as we do!

As watercolor pencils go, I've seen better. My sister thought they were cheap colored pencils at first! But while she continues loving pan watercolors, she does like using these the same way I do - for an easy mixing of colors! The colors can be very vibrant! A few added bonuses: these are eco-friendly, very fun, and easy to use!
