The real problem with this toy is that it is cute to look at but once you play with it the cord gets twisted and ruined. It is not very cute after a month.

Cute phone, not durable at all. Agree with the previous review that it is NOT for the under three crowd (my daughter has used the phone cord as a necklace countless times...)
My older daughter loves to play with the phone with her dolls. It does say 2-3 different phrases and rings when you push the # sign. Our pink flower cover has started to rip apart from a few years of play.
I would recommend it to the little girls (or boys) who love Fancy Nancy that are over three!

We've got this as a gift. The phone does look fancy, but it does as much as the cell phone I purchased at the $1 store. It says same phrases when you push on the buttons. Due to the chocking hazard it is not recommended for children under 3 (rated for ages 5+). My child turned 3 and this toy is so past due. It probably would be better if it did nothing at all to leave some room for imagination at least. Or for the money they could make it real (for the 5 years old it were much more appropriate).
