Great Game - Tough DirectionsDec 26, 2007
By Daniel R. Vickery This is a wonderful game I discovered from a friend earlier this year. It's fun with a lot of people. The only problem is that the first time I played it, I learned how to play from someone else. When I bought this product, I attempted to understand the rules from the unclear instructions, and got a bit lost.
Otherwise, it's great. It's simple and fun.

Most fun you can have for less than $4Aug 02, 2009
By BobG I've been playing this great game since the 1970's when it was invented by students at the University of Massachusetts. Equally fun for any number of 2 or more players, this game has aspects of "Let's Make a Deal", in which you frequently must choose to take the points you've accumulated or bet them all to continue to rack up more. This makes for a lot of coaching and cajoling from other players, as the longer your turn the higher the stakes become.
Someone said the rules were hard to read and it's been so long I can't say ... but they ARE very simple. It's also one of the few games that encourages you to extend and change the rules, so long as everyone agrees, and doing so keeps it from getting boring over time.
It's a lot of fun with only five dice; very portable and I appreciate the fair pricing for the basic game given its simplicty. It's a lot of fun and highly recommended!
This is an AWESOME game!Jul 16, 2011
By LaughingMomma Have played Cosmic Wimpout for many years. Our old dice were so worn it was hard to still see the symbols on some of them. Bought a few new sets (some for Christmas gifts) and have taught our son to play now. Crazy rules. Try it!

Cosmic Wimpout is easy to learn, impossible to master, unless you are REALLY GOOD at telekinesis, which is permissible, according to the rules sheet.
It's a dice game, with some fancy-looking dice.
The gameplay is very similar to Farkel (aka 10,000) with some twists to the gameplay and a different scoring methodolgy.
I had thought this game was out of print, but was delighted to find it's still available.

Cosmic Wimpout rocksJun 23, 2008

Normally, Cosmic Wimpout is a great dice game, enjoyed in various magical places. It's all about creating and maintaining your own cosmic player pieces and playing surface. Unfortunately, this set was cheaply made, with some of the dice missing the appropriate markings, which were only painted on - I threw in it the trash in disgust.
