As a placemat, this is quite effective and we find that it stays in place well on our glass dining table.
Even better, our two year old loves it, as well as the matching Constructive Eating Utensil Set. My wife and I really appreciate the fact that carrots and tomatoes are depicted, though we wish the ice cream sundae wasn't there.
The fact that it shows where the various implements are supposed to go is great training for letting him help set the table.

I bought this for my toddler who is in a truck phase. He loves it! The colors are bright and the drawings are cute. I bought the matching fork and spoon and he loves to "drive" them around! It's easy to clean and dries quickly. My only complaint is that the plastic is a little thinner than I'd hoped. But really, great product for a reasonable price!

I was disappointed that this didn't last longer. We aren't using utensils yet and this didn't make it more than two weeks of wiping off after food was on it. Too bad - it's really cute (but they should replace the sundae with some yogurt/fruit sundae!
