Too big, but still funMay 15, 2011

My son, age 3, is currently playing with these glasses. Yes, they are too big for his face, but they still work when he holds them up to his face and I think I could probably put a band on the back that would help hold them up. That said, the excitement they provide makes their poor design worth it. I've heard "Mommy, red and blue makes PURPLE!!!" and "Look, yellow and red are ORANGE!!" among other exclamations. What a neat, concrete way to teach color mixing! If there were another item like this with a little better design, it would be worth 5 stars.
Good idea, but not excuted very wellOct 24, 2011
By P. Smith I thought these would be perfect for my kindergartner who loves to ask what different colors mixed together make AND loves to wear glasses. To my surprise, he didn't really take to these. As has been mentioned, they were WAY too big for his head - too big for me even. They were just too cumbersome to be much fun. One of the arms broke shortly after we got them anyway. I think that in theory this is a great idea... the execution was just off. Too bad.

BIG disappointment - and I do mean BIG.Oct 14, 2010

Bought these for my two children, 5 and 3. I knew the 3-year-old would be too young, but he loves special glasses and I figured he could play with these with supervision. WRONG. These glasses are simply TOO BIG for children's use. I just measured and they are actually WIDER (side to side) than the normal-adult-sized glasses I wear all the time. My regular glasses fit right between the stems of these - with space to spare. They didn't fit the 3-year-old properly, of course, but neither did they fit the 5-year-old - or my 14- and 16-year-old teenagers. They barely fit me. Since nobody can wear them, the only word to describe my experience of this product is "disappointing." I was SO excited about what I thought would be a neat product (educational AND fun!), and I paid more than I normally would have since they were a birthday gift. Now I just feel like a sucker. I wish it was possible to leave a zero-star review.
