Very sturdy cards. fun to play. We also have the Faces matching game which is kids from around the world. we play that one a lot. it has a little more learning opportunity than the candy one.

What a wonderful, sweet game! I bought it for my 8 year old neice at a family reunion. I wasn't sure if she'd be too "old" for a matching game... but I was won over by the charming graphics on the box and decided to give it a go, since I always enjoyed matching games as a kid. The game ended up be a wondrous gift! All the kids, from ages 4 to 14, gathered round to play. Not only did they do the matching game... but they also took turns guessing each other's favorite candies. Then they "interviewed" older relatives to determine their favorite candies; it was truly open-ended play at its best. Since some of the cards feature newer style candies, while others have more old-fashioned sweets... and that led to some very fun multi-generational games and discussions about sweets through the ages! Best of all, even my 86-year old father-in-law, who has sadly suffered a stroke, and has limited speech, was joyfully able to join in, picking out his very favorities too. Thankfully, the cards are super-durable, so he was able to pick up cards, and engage with his grand-children in such a positive, fun way. We all made some treasured memories that weekend, thanks to a simple, creative game, thoughtfully designed and made. In fact, I'm buying one now for my own family!

This was a great find for my 5 and 7 year old. It can be less challenging by just using less pairs when you set up the cards. Might be a good way to start out if they show resistance in playing. We've played together many times since it was unwrapped. The cards are sturdy and thick, you cannot bend or crease them. The pictures are interesting and have bright colors. The box will hold up well too. It's nice to play a traditional game with no batteries and we're also learning the names of 24 types of candy. I want to add this game to my gift cache for those birthdays that come at you with little notice.

Purchased this game for my soon-to-be seven year old five years ago, and she still thinks it rocks. The candy pics are stunning. My twoish tot has been doggin' this game lately, and it's still holding up! With all due respect to the first reviewer of this product- I do believe that this game does offer various learning opportunities besides the whole obvious memory deal, such as: color i.d., counting, taking turns, candy history, cavity ed., etc. A forever fave.

I bought this for my almost 3 year old daughter. The pieces are very thick and heavy cardboard which should hold up to lots of play. Even the box is heavy duty. The game has a retro look and feel to it, as do most eeBoo products.
