Our kids love it!Sep 05, 2006

My kids love to bowl, so when I saw this in a store, I knew they'd love it. It's fun, it's easy to play, and games go pretty fast. My 5 year old and 8 year old play it quite often, I play too because they don't understand the scoring yet. Good fun!

You Don't Need Your Bowling Shoes for This Game!Feb 06, 2011

My son says "you have a different statistical likelihood of winning than you would with real bowling." In other words, he has a chance to win! LOL
This is what the package says: "Try your luck at a new way to play one of America's favorite pasttimes... bowling! No need to put on your bowling shoes - simply roll the dice to see how many pins you knock down. Roll just right and you might get a strike or spare!
Players roll the dice twice on each turn, keeping score for 10 frames. After all players have completed the 10th frame, the player with the highest score wins the game!"
I gave this game to my husband for Christmas, as he loves bowling. My husband and son played it for the first time today, and they did enjoy the game. Both are very familiar with bowling and how to score the old fashioned way, which one needs to know in order to play this game. This can be a bit confusing to people, but is explained in the instructions. It comes with 10 dice, instructions and scoring sheets.
Fun Game, With Hidden Education Bonus!Jan 04, 2012
By J. Charles This game is a great way to familiarize oneself with the basic gameplay of bowling... specifically the idea of rolling the ball twice, spares, strikes, etc.
What's nice about the game is that it teaches you how to score the game, which can be initially confusing in the case of spares and strikes, especially for younger players. The instructions are very clear on scoring, and after a few rounds it becomes second nature, and the kids will start keeping track, adding the numbers in their heads, etc.
There really isn't any skill to the game, however. It's just a lucky roll of the dice. This puts everyone on even footing, and the game becomes more about how good your roll was as opposed to worrying about strategy. Despite this, it's surprisingly fun and a great way to pass 15 to 30 minutes on a couple of games, and getting a spare or a strike is no less exciting as in a real round of bowling.

Bowling with special diceDec 28, 2009
By Duano This game is good for learning how to: count, keep bowling score.
It pretty fun, younger children will like this more than older ones. It will get old pretty quick for older children.
