Grandma has the best toysDec 20, 2000
By Peggy Ash My son went to Grandma's for a week during summer break. He comes home and says she has the best toys for everyone to play. Can we get some like hers? He fell in love with blockhead because it is actually harder than it looks. The colors are cool and he can't break it because it is NOT cheap plastic. Good things to consider when your son is 8. The idea is to balance the blocks in such a way that your opponent has more difficulty stacking their blocks. Takes manual control and thinking ahead to win. Good skill building.

Crazy Crown Box 2009 EditionAug 13, 2009
By plokent Pressman Toy Corporation has repackaged the "Blockhead!" game in a colorful flip top box that resembles the crazy crown block. It differs from the previous edition (1996) in that it now features a wooden base instead of the orange card stock base. The 20 wooden blocks are painted in vibrant green, yellow, red, orange, and dark blue. One of the tall bridge blocks has been replaced with a basic rectangle block. The grooves on the two bridge blocks are more shallow but still fit the large and small roller blocks. There seems to be better quality control employed in the overall finish of these blocks. No Spanish game instructions. I would like to see Pressman reissue a retro version of this game featuring the 25 blocks in the same dimensions and colors as the Saalfield Publishing Company classic square box edition from 1954.

This Blockhead is not themsame as the originalAug 11, 2008
By Sue Sarnecki This Blockhead has a paper base and NOT wood as the original one has. It is not as good in fact the one i bought the base was warped.
My Granddaughters love itJan 15, 2012
By Ramjet I had played Blockhead many years ago and enjoyed it. I looked at other versions of it and decided to try this one. I have not been disappointed.
It seems to be as good as the original and I have played it with my beautiful Granddaughters many times. They like it too, it's simple to do and I think they appreciate not having to be studied experts to be able to play the game.
As far as being educational, I don't really think it has much educational value, maybe they learn a little about balance but mainly it's just simple fun.
It's a good product, decently well made and is fun to use with the kids.
I'm a BlockHead!Nov 11, 2011
By Richard Schaffer The great game. Good for all ages. A five year old can learn to play in one minute. You don't even need to speak the same language, let alone read to play, yet Phds and ultra competitive adults can enjoy it too. It isn't quite the same as the original but close enough. If you want you can make your own custom pieces!
