 Fun and not overly difficultJan 03, 2010
This is a great set--nicely organized and of decent quality. The small beads might be frustrating for younger children, but the set would be great for kids age 8+ through adults (probably also fine for younger children who are patient and who have good small motor skills:-)). The snowflakes we made look great on our Christmas tree, but the best part was really the fun of putting them together. A nice activity for the holidays or just a winter project.

 fairly easy, pretty finished productDec 24, 2008
I bought this kit for my 7 year olds to make ornaments. They had fun adding the beads, but I had to add the end caps. I had visions of beads falling off and rolling everywhere, but the end caps seem like they will hold on pretty well.
Adding the end caps took some getting used to at first (for me) -
issues were:
- lining up the wire structure of the ornament with the hole in the rubber end cap (sometimes I missed the hole or didn't get it on straight)
- being sure to have enough room on the wire to fit the end cap on securely, but not so much room that bare wire showed on the finished ornament.
I did get the hang of it eventually, and the project went fairly quickly. The ornaments are rather large (about 6" diameter), but they are pretty.
