falling apart at the seamsJun 28, 2008
By M. Chatterton We waited to write a review because I too had a previous experience with banzai water slides that was less than pleasurable. We also figured after a few years they would have worked out the kinks in their durability. This water slide is so much fun but we have used it a total of four times and have a seam where the green "tunnel" part is completely split open, I could play basketball through the hole it is so big. I haven't called them yet and replacement will likely take the rest of the summer, as I live in Michigan and summer is short. I figured it would only last one season and we didn't even get close to that. I am really ready to go commercial after this one.

Awesome summer fun!Jun 06, 2008
By G. Capello I researched all of the inflatable water slides on Amazon and finally settled on this one. The reason I choose this one was because my kids are used to sliding on the big commercial water slides from rental places for birthdays, etc. and I knew that if I bought the other banzai slide like the sidewinder or the other ones, that they would not be impressed. All of the other water slides I looked at on Amazon were not taller than 11 feet and most of them were under 10 feet tall. I looked into purchasing a commercial waterslide but I am not willing to pay $3000.00 for one. This slide is 17 feet tall and the commercial one we usually rent is 18 feet, so this one is comparable. My kids actually like this one even better than the one we usually rent because there are two big slides on it, one that curves and one that is steeper, and a tunnel slide through the middle of it that you go through on your stomach. So there are actually three slides alltogether. Plus there is a continuously spraying water gun attached to the tubes that spray the water over the slides and you can move it in different directions to spray the other people playing.
The setup was pretty easy to do, it took about 45 minutes from getting it out of the box to playtime. You have to attach the tubes that spray the water on the slides with these velcro straps and the sprayers are velcro backed. Each sprayer is numbered and the area it is to be attached to is also numbered. The end of the tubing is attached to your water hose and the blower hooks on really easy, once you turn on the water let your kids loose and they will have a blast on this thing. It seems really well put together and is very sturdy.
Overall, I think it is well worth the money and alot of fun.

Amazingly fun and durable Waterpark in your Backyard!May 26, 2008

We bought this slide two years ago and just recently bought another one for the the grandparents' backyard. This slide has been the hit of our neighborhood for two years and going on the third! Even the parents have a blast flying down this thing. We can't wait to get our out again this year. It is very nicely made and folds up after use pretty easily. You still have to let it dry out before folding it up, but hey it's not perfect.
We have had all the kids in the neighborhood on this thing (not all at once) you shouldn't have more than two kids climbing at once and a few in the pool. It hasn't ripped or torn yet and it even comes with a patch kit in case it does tear in the future. To say this thing was worth the $[...] or so we paid with shipping is an understatement. It has been one of the best purchases we have made on Amazon. It gets our kids outside and keeps them active. No more sitting around playing games and watching tv. It seems like a lot of money, but it is worth it if you think you will get more than two uses out of it. Especially if you plan on having birthday or other get togethers at your house in the summer time.

Falling apart at the seams.Jul 20, 2008
By Eric N. Newman This slide was expensive and yet we were certain it would be a multi-summer investment for our one ten year old child. However, we now doubt that we will get more than one season out of it. We have used it for one and a half months with only one ten year old girl playing on it intermittently and already it is splitting at the seams in multiple places and has a hole that continues to grow at the entry to the green tunnel. Naturally, our return policy has lapsed and we have wasted a lot of money on an inferior product. I see several complaints here of the same nature and all I can say is buyer beware. Your money would be better spent on seasonal water park tickets!

Hot Fun in the Summertime...While It LastedJun 22, 2008

Before the slide had a major blowout my family used to have a lot of fun with this slide. My two sons, ages 12 & 9, enjoyed having friends over and having races and challenges using the waterfalls and slides as obstacles. Personally, I'm amazed at how much water pressure we had even though we don't actually HAVE a lot of water pressure. The inflatable part managed to hold me up even though I'm above the individual weight limit by about 10 pounds.
I was concerned about the durability. There were already about five minor leaks along the seams, and one thumb-sized hole in a folded seam by the curved waterslide's tunnel. On our 9th usage of the slide a gaping hole formed by the lower slide, and the sad faces of the kids who were playing was heartbreaking. I was sad because of how much money we'd spent. I tried three different ways to get ahold of the customer service department, and after four days I heard back from them. They told me the only way to fix the slide was to sew it shut with fishing line and then to pour lots of industrial strength glue over the sewed area.
It is very difficult to put the slide away since it has to be totally dry in order to do so. There is no way it will fit into its original box, so you'll need to buy a large storage chest to keep it in. The slide weighs over 120 pounds when wet and takes up a good deal of yard space.
Also, be aware that the cord attached to the blower is 20 feet long and that there are numerous warnings not to use extension cords, and to make sure there are no objects within 10 feet of any of the sides of the slide.
I recommend this slide in terms of the fun quotient, but the lack of durability of the slide and the difficulty in getting ahold of the company's customer service department can not be overstated.
