This is a great item for kids that love to draw and color! My 3 year old can't get enough of it. Bought extra pens for it too.

This product is ok, definitely beats my 15 month old using regular markers. It's a bit too expensive for what it is. I bought it at Toysurus for only $20. It's twice as much on Amazon. Also, make sure you get extra markers because the one this set comes with can get lost FAST!

We bought this for our toddler a while back and she LOVES it . It is so much better than markers because it's just water so there is no harm in getting it on something other than the mat. We usually bought our daughter the crayola markers that only color on the crayola paper but we always had the issue of her putting the markers in her mouth. If she does that with this there is no harm because there are no chemicals. It also dries pretty quickly so a new picture can be drawn. That is also the only downside, a picture won't stay on the mat very long. The mat also rolls up for easy travel and is great as a mess free activity on the go, especially the travel version of this. Also, make sure to buy extras of the pen because they can easily get lost, our daughter lost hers within a week and we had to buy another so it's good to already have an extra on hand in case that happens. They also sell little brushes and sponges to go with the pen, which are good to have a variety, especially because the only color that can be drawn is blue.

My son has had his aquadoodle only a short time and it is permanently stained. Don't get anything on it except water. The company that makes this toy says "wash with water and gently dab with a sponge." Try getting dirt, oil, food, dog slobber or anything off the mat like that. It's fun, but I'm constantly trying to clean stuff off it and the mat doesn't work as well as it did when it was new. I wouldn't buy it again.

We originally bought my 1 1/2 year old the travel Aquadoodle for a long road trips and loved it so much that we recently purchased this one too. She's 2 1/2 now and LOVE this. It's big enough for her to draw on one side and then move around and by the time she gets back to where she started, it's dried/erased. It rolls up easily and there's absolutely NO clean up. As some reviewers mentioned, if you leave a "puddle" of liquid on the mat it will leave a mark (kind of a pale yellow?) but that can be avoided by making sure the mat gets dried properly. Oh, and we got ours for about $20 (less maybe?) at Target. :)
