I bought this for my 2 and 4 year old children and it has only gotten played with once. The reason? When the ball gets stuck on the mitt, it is REALLY hard to pull off. It frustrates younger kids. I would recommend this for kids 5 and up.

The person who designed this toy is an idiot. The person who approved the selling of this toy is an even bigger idiot. The package says 3+. There is no instance in which a child should play with this toy. The ball is HARD. Like a ROCK. It was thrown once by my child, hit me in the mouth, and gave me a fat lip. The ball promptly went in the garbage. I will keep the mitts and figure out something else to play catch with. I mean, really. Are you serious with this ball? How can you manufacture this?

I was a little surprised by how hard the ball for this toy was. I did not give it to my nieces to play with. It seems like it would hurt if it someone's head.

As a pediatric physical therapist I value toys that offer multiple benefits and flexibility. This toy fits the bill! The velcro is very sticky so even very young children can be successful catching with this mitt. It's also great for hand strength since the ball can be a little difficult to remove. I often use it with small bean bags or stuffed animals to make the game easier for younger, or weaker kids and they really enjoy it!

Bought these for my son after reading several reviews that this type of product doesn't hold up well, but it is doing just fine. It is a good activity for us to pick up and play outside without any preparations.
