With the 3-D planets in a tube, you get what you pay for. The planets are small, the colors are pale, and there are few details. Given that, if you are simply looking for planets to hang for a mobile or something, these are a great deal and accurate, if lackluster, replicas.

My two boys are fascinated by the solar system right now. I bought this set so that my younger son could have a solar system model like his older brother. Unfortunately, this set was much smaller than expected. Definitely a choking hazard for any child under three.

These were a Christmas gift for my son who is really into space and planets. They were perfect for what he wanted. He uses them as displays and that's about all but they are very durable.

These planets were meant to be hung on the ceiling of my son's bedroom. They are much smaller and more lightweight than I had expected. Also, it would have been nice if it came with a picture and a little educational blurb about each planet..but didn't.
