 Immitation Lincoln LogsMar 07, 2009

I purchased the 160 piece Frontier Logs thinking I was buying Lincoln Logs. The logs were very similar in quality to the brand, but the colors were not as good. I was disappointed with the instructions that came with the set. The printing was very poor as were the diagrams. My 7 year old grandson's comment before I said anything about the set was that "the instructions are bad, you can hardly read them." When I returned home I put the instructions that came with the Lincoln Log set that we have at home in the mail to him. When I purchased the set I did not realize that it was not the Lincoln Log brand, my mystake.

I placed this order, I'm 65 years old, for my husband who is eleven years older than I - it was something he had wanted as a child and finally received. He has enjoyed not only the quality of the product, but the imagaination it sparks. Thank you for producing it. Gayle Huffsmith

Received just a few days after we ordered, very fast shipment via UPS with the Amazon free shipping. When I opened the box, we were both amazed at how big the canister is, and how many logs you get for this price, it is like half the price of Lincoln Logs for double the count. The quality was also good, I mean, yeah, they are lighter in color but logs are logs right? They are still dark brown. The only complaint I could think of with this product is that when I opened the box, the top of the canister hadn't been sealed all that well, so I had to pick up like 40 to 50 little logs out of the main UPS box. Not a big deal to me, since this is a Christmas present, and I will rewrap anyway, but if you're going to let a child open the box, maybe shake it first to see if the pieces are out of the box, if that is something you care about. I also got the coywboy and indian 42 pc play set, and it will go well with this present. All smiles this way!

No storage bucket included, tons of pieces though. If your child is aware of brand names, this is a knock off. Great value!
