When I got the marbles out of the UPS box I was not at all impressed... The tins lid was being held on by a rubber band and the tin was bent out of shape. When I opened the tin I immediately saw several broken and chipped marbles. I opened them and sorted out the broken and unusable ones and there was 15 broken and chipped and 130 useable ones. So there was only 145 marbles in a pack that says there is 160. I will never purchase these again, and I urge everyone else to proceed with caution when buying this product.

These marbles are poorly made with dull colors. There are obvious holes and cracks on some of them. These holes and cracks do not look like the result of handling; they look like manufacturing defects. Close to 150 are included but definitely not 160. The tin box is thin but okay.

My husband wanted a game to play with his 11-year-old scouts to start out activities (especially when it's raining or cold outside). It's been a hit with the boys and they've played for a little while every week ever since he got them. The product was exactly what was advertised and the tin for storing the marbles is a nice addition.

The marbles have many dimples and other structural flaws. My 6-year-old son knocked two of them into each other (with a not-unreasonable amount of force), and one marble shattered into sharp, tiny shards. Kind of a nasty surprise.

This particular collection of marbles reminds me of the marbles we had when we were kids. I'd call them "classic marbles". These are a good choice if you're looking for vintage looking marbles.
